The origin is the only difference between wintergreen (native to China) and fragrant wintergreen (from Nepal). It has a deep, intense aroma. Its chemical composition, properties and precautions are identical to fragrant wintergreen essential oil. The oil is obtained by distilling the leaves of a heather from the Ericaceae family. It has been used for centuries by the Indigenous peoples of the Americas for its myriad properties.
